Anniversary invitation
This personal invitation was created on the occasion of Webprojectmanager.nl’s 5th anniversary. Together with a 40 year birthday, a big party was thrown. Base of the invitation is a cheerful illustration, showing a colour landscape with the party animal. This landscape is ‘borrowed’ from the late and great Dutch illustrator Sieb Posthuma who sadly passed away just when I was working on the invitation. I added several emblematic objects of the client’s personal and professional life. A proper handwritten font was carefully picked to complete the personal and informal look.
The illustration was made in pencil with water colour. The objects were separately drawn, scanned and edited before they were put in the scenery. I made a few proposals for the main character: holding a glass of wine in her hand, holding the anniversary numbers in her hands or just stretching her arms. In the end we decided for a celebrational drink.
The guests received the invitation by e-mail, with a backup online in case the image doesn’t display well in their respective e-mail client.
An adapted version was created and printed as a poster (80 x 60 cm) and a banner (180 x 80 cm) to decorate the party.
Five years before I designed the Webprojectmanager.nl website and the logo and stationary.

About MissPixel
Global entrepreneur
Based in Barcelona and working in the cloud, I love international flavoured collaborations. I’m fluent in English, Spanish, Dutch, German and French, like to travel and am curious about different cultures. Your project can be discussed in your office enjoying a cup of tea or we can set up a Skype call. There's always a way to communicate!
Skills
In 1998, I earned my bachelors in graphic design in Breda, The Netherlands. Just as the internet bubble formed, I moved to Spain and eagerly studied web design and interfaces on my own. Now, I combine design with teaching, as I love to share my knowledge with students and clients alike. A full work history can be found at MissPixel’s Linkedin profile.
Balance
The joy of work is in the balance: organising and taking care of customers in the user experience field, mathematical challenges in HTML coding and composing bright colourful palettes on screen and paper.
These three perspectives harmoniously come together into one goal: making people happy with useful and beautiful designs. Boy, do I love my job!
